There are moments of existence when time and space are more profound, and the awareness of existence is immensely heightened.? (Charles Baudelaire)
My recent work is a response to literature which evokes vividly some of the issues which I have continually revisited within my paintings.
Memories of the intangible?.. Other worlds accessed through dreams?.. Wild imaginings manifested through liquid colour and textured surfaces.
My desire to describe what is in many ways the indescribable continues to fascinate me and my inability to do this to my satisfaction is what drives me to continue.
?Memories and thoughts age, just as people do. But certain thoughts can never age, and certain memories can never fade.?
